So why this name? Because in this tale, the man who wrote the book is the one who feels most violated and has the least insight into it. The writer is the one who feels most violated and has the least insight into it. It’s not really about the book being a synonym for the book writer. It’s about the differences.
In Deathloop’s prologue, Colt Vahn gets some help from someone who was there at the beginning—Baron of Blackreef. They’re in a boat that’s been drifting aimlessly for years. In his notes, Colt mentions that his wife was on the boat with him and that her husband was upset by what he was writing about. And when Colt wrote the book, he thought what he wrote would help her understand what he was going through.
Colt Vahn wrote this book to help his wife. Its just that in his notes, he mentions that his wife was on the boat with him and that her husband was upset by what he was writing about. Thats why she was upset when Colt started writing about the shipwreck.
And even though Colt Vahn is a character and not a person, some people who read the book will remember that he didn’t read the book. In fact, he writes in the book that there is no reason to look back because the memories he has of that night are still vivid. That sounds like the opposite of what a person who has been on Deathloop and has been having flashbacks (like Colt) would want to do.
I mean, we all want to remember the good stuff, don’t we? But no one wants to remember the bad stuff? The same goes for flashbacks. So maybe there is a reason for Colt to be having flashbacks. If he still remembers that night it’s because his mind is still on that night.
He has his memories, the rest is what his mind remembers. The same goes for flashbacks. So maybe Colt is having flashbacks because his mind is still on the night he was on Deathloop and that memory is still fresh in his mind.
That would be something that can be verified.
The only sure thing about flashbacks and memories is that they are real. But that doesn’t mean that they are all the same thing. So maybe there is a reason for him to be having flashbacks. Maybe he was in a flashback because he was in the same position as the people on the island that night. But the flashback is from a different time frame, so maybe it’s a memory from the future.
There are a lot of different ways for flashbacks to happen, and there are a lot of different ways for memories to be remembered. It turns out that each one of those different memory methods is a synonym for a different time in our lives. We have a lot of them because we have a lot of different methods for telling our story. Sometimes that makes it a little confusing.
