By Making cricut cards is such a simple and fun way to express yourself and your personal ideas. I love making cards and learning to use cricuts. Most people don’t realize how much fun it is to just get right into the act. You can design your own card or you can just come up with your own.
I made my first one of my own using the “doodle” method described by artist and blog author Jonny Blaylock, which involves starting with a piece of cardstock, then tracing it onto a cricut using an ink pad. Then I used a toothpick to trace over the cricut’s ink. That’s it! It’s that easy.
So, how do you make your own cricut card? Well, the first step is to get a cricut. I bought mine on amazon recently, but the one I currently have is a free one that is about 2.5 years old. The second step is to start tracing the cricut onto the cardstock. You want to use a contrasting color to make this easier. I made mine with a blue cricut and a bright yellow cardstock.
The cricut card can be made out of virtually any craft adhesive. Just use the color you want to make the card with and get some cricut-friendly glue. It doesn’t have to be sticky, although it should be.
The cricut cardmaker is a new thing to me, but I love it when someone shows you how to do it and how it works. That way you can get to know how it works. I made mine with a cricut and a 2mm (0.5mm) thick white cardstock.
The cards are a nice idea. They make a nice card holder and add a pretty finishing touch to a card. They can also be used in place of cards for a card making kit or make a card in a color you already have. I have plenty of pink and green cards and want to use them in my card making kit.
You can make cards from any of your favorite cards, but I like using black and white ones. I like the crisp, clean design and I think my colors and the paper texture makes them work well. You can also make cards in black and white, or just use white cardstock as a background. When you’re finished, you can tear the backing paper off and use the white cardstock as a pattern.
This is a fun card making technique because you can make the back card yourself, or you can buy ready-made backs for the cards you want to use. I like making my own backs because my card-making supplies are a little more elaborate than their ready-made counterparts. Once I have the back covered, I just use some black cardstock and the white cardstock as a pattern. I also like how easy it is to make cards that have patterns on them.
Once you’ve finished your card, it’s best to use the white cardstock as a pattern. The white and black cardstock work very well together and you can also have the cardstock printed on the white cardstock (or the black, if you wish). Then it’s just a matter of lining up the back of your card with the back of your patterned card and sticking it up.
I have yet to make a patterned card, but I have made a couple of cards with patterns. I’m sure it’s worth a post.
