They used to be the only dogs that could hunt. They were fast, they could take down a rabbit, and they could sniff out a buried treasure. Not anymore. Today, the competition between dogs is fierce and dogs have gotten even better. Some dogs are trained to be police dogs that can kill dangerous criminals, be trained to sniff out explosives, and even police themselves. Others are trained to be herding dogs that can help keep cattle in check. Not anymore.
Well, we have to give credit to the new-generation dogs that have come up. These dogs can sniff out weapons, explosives, contraband, and even people. It’s a good thing they are trained to be in the right place at the right time.
I’ve heard plenty of dogs that can detect things that other dogs can’t. I can’t remember the last time I was able to tell if a dog was a police dog or a herding dog.
It seems that the police themselves are being trained as security dogs. They’re not the only ones. A growing number of police departments are now also using dogs to perform their jobs.
There’s a growing trend toward hiring security dogs to protect their departments from potential terrorist attacks. These dogs are being trained to sniff out things like bombs, contraband, and weapons. The reason they are now being trained is that they have been given training to detect the same kinds of things as the police themselves. You dont need to be a dog expert to have them be able to detect and report on things.
The reason its becoming so popular is because they are great for police because they can tell in a few seconds exactly where a bomb is. These dogs are also trained to alert the police when an alarm is sounding in a suspicious area. When a bomb is detected they are trained to start barking, and then they are brought to the scene.
The latest in an ongoing series of war dog training videos is this one, the “famous” ones will be in the next video. The last is “Dogs are great for policing, too.
I have to say I love this. I can’t wait to go back to my police work in the future.
Some dogs can smell a bomb in a few seconds, but the most useful ones can detect even the tiniest of explosives. This is a good example of the fact that dogs can be great for lots of things, from finding lost children to giving dog teams a boost in a fight.
Now I am not saying I am a police dog trainer, or even a dog trainer. I am just a guy who has been trained in the martial arts for years. That said, I have been told that dogs can be trained to detect explosives. I have heard of this before, but I have never seen this footage. In the clip below, a police dog is trained to detect explosives and the bomb squad is called to the scene to have it detonated, just like any other bomb detectors do.
