By Gingerbread cookies are a great way to introduce kids to the idea of making them. My boys really enjoyed seeing these cookies made with the holiday theme of Christmas. It gave them a great opportunity to think about who they are and what they’re made for.
The idea of gingerbread dog cookies is to turn the holidays into a fun time full of silliness. Well, sort of. In the beginning, the cookies are quite ordinary with a few “gifts” that bring joy. But as they grow, the cookies become more unusual and playful. The cookies are decorated for the holidays, with sprinkles, gingerbread men, and other random stuff that makes them look like cookies. The cookie cutters are pretty cool too.
This is a project I think about often. I will never forget my first attempt at gingerbread dog cookies. They were the only way I could remember to make them the first time I tried to make gingerbread cookies. One of my coworkers gave me a box of gingerbread dog cookies (and the recipe for a recipe) with a note that they were the only cookies that could be made with it. I was like, “Okay, they’re pretty good.
My friend made the cookies for me and I was so impressed that I went home and found a recipe for them as well. I still remember that as being the first time I ate something that didn’t have a cookie in it. I think I was so impressed that I wanted to make them again, but I was so busy with work that I didn’t have the time to bake them.
You can make these cookies in a pinch (but not that well, it was just on my list of things to do). They’re simple to make and you can make them so many ways. You can make them out of whatever cookie you like: brownies, cinnamon sugar cookie, fudgy brownie, blueberry cookie, you name it. They’re also delicious just with a bit of milk.
If you have kids, you probably have to make them some of these, but those are the days theyre best made as gifts. I think I used to make them about a dozen at a time, but I dont have any left.
You can make them in literally hundreds of different ways. I made them in the shape of gingerbread houses, but I also made them in the shape of a dog, and sometimes even in the shape of a skull. You can make them in a wide variety of colors, and it’s totally up to you what you like to do with them. I think I like the gingerbread ones best.
That last one is a biggie. You can’t ask people to be a gingerbread dog cookie for you just like you can’t ask them to be a gingerbread guy or a gingerbread girl. You have to have some sort of personal connection between you and a gingerbread cookie.
It’s a great idea, and I think that’s kind of the point. People are just so into the holidays and the holidays are all about giving, so making cookies in the shape of a dog or a skull can be a lot of fun.
Oh sure, making gingerbread cookies is fun. But making some of the cookies in the shape of a dog is way too creepy. Because that’s what people are going to think when you send a gingerbread cookie to their dog.
