I have been reading and re-reading many of these self-awareness books. Some are great, some are just plain boring, and others are very different from my life and the way I want to live.
As we’ve been talking, I’ve also come to learn that there are many levels of self-awareness.
The first level is the “know yourself” level. We have so many things at our disposal that we can’t help but know them.
I think that the most important part of knowing ourselves comes from the first level. I think that most people have an inner dialogue they can share with you while they are reading, and it is when this inner dialogue comes to the surface that you can start to become aware of your own life. When I first got into blogging, I was very self-conscious of that.
People don’t realize that they can share an inner dialogue by reading about themselves. That inner dialogue is what makes them aware. I think the main point about that is that it gets to the heart of our lives, we’re all so busy trying to figure out our lives, and we’re not ready to open that up to others.
I think it might be true that the blogosphere is a time to share what’s on your mind (and, like the rest of the world, we don’t share our thoughts so much that we forget what’s going on in our lives). But I think people sometimes forget that they can share that inner dialogue by reading about themselves. They might not realize they can but they can feel it.
As a general rule, I have found that the books I read as a teenager and young adult have always been helpful in getting me to think about and reflect on the way I feel about myself. That’s for the most part the same way that you might read about yourself and reflect on your life. I have read a lot about my life, and in many ways I have a lot of what I have read about my life.
I have read a lot of different books for different reasons. Sometimes I read them to think and learn a specific thing like, for example, how to write a resume. Other times I read to read about another person and get a feel for what makes that person tick. It can even be the same thing. It works for me.
I think the different books I have read are more about the different perspectives I have on life. I have read a lot of books where I saw myself in the person I would be and how I would handle life. For example, I have read a lot about how to make the best of a bad job, and how to be successful in a business. I have read a lot about how to make a marriage work, and how to get a job that pays more.
I know that I have read that books to learn the right things to do, and to make me feel more confident in my ability to carry out the tasks I have to do. It also helps me not to get discouraged when things don’t go the way I planned. The thing that makes me feel even better about myself is that I have a list of things that I can control and things that I cannot control, and that I can actually do them.
