By We can all probably relate to hyperactive cats. In fact, I have a friend who has one of these cats. He’s a big yellow tomcat who likes to chase anything moving. Sometimes he will use his tail like a chain saw, and he actually has a nasty habit of chasing my cat too. He’s also incredibly violent and will attack the cats who have been giving him trouble.

If you’re a cat owner, you kind of have to get over the illusion that every cat is super-lovable. You likely have hyperactive cats because you were born with a bad genetic streak. When I was young I had a cat that would literally grab you by the throat and bite you if you were really close. There are many diseases that are known to cause hyperactivity, but it seems that the most common are ADHD and ADD. There are many different tests that can be done on cat owners that can diagnose these disorders.
