By I know, I know. It’s a big deal. I used to think it was a big deal too. That I had something called “knitting tools.” Well, I didn’t. I have a knitting tool, but I don’t know what I use it for. I’m only a little bit smarter than you.
It’s true! A great many of us have knitting tools, but not all of us consider them knitting tools.
Okay, I know what you mean. The thing is, knitting tools are not a new addition to the knitting scene. They actually go back to the 1960s. In fact, in the 1960s you really only used knitting needles to knit socks. People used their fingers to sew, or just to manipulate the ends of their yarn. Most knitters, like me, went with different tools for different jobs. But you didnt need to be a master of knitting to use them.
Knitting uses a lot of the same tools as sewing. You need a needle, yarn, and a few pieces of cotton. You then slide the yarn through the needle. The way I saw it being used, knitting is really a means of producing a garment. You can also use your fingers for a variety of other purposes, like weaving, crochet, and more.
Sewing is the same way. You need a needle, a stitch, and a fabric. You slide the fabric through the needle, and you can either use your hands to twist the fabric or you can use thread to create additional stitches. You can also use your fingers to create needle holes. Sewing is a craft. It’s a craft in the same way as knitting.
The other purpose of knitting is to produce sweaters. We can do that on our own, or we can hire a good sewing machine.
We have to be careful though. This isn’t exactly a knitting recipe for success, and if we ever have to try to sew something together, we will have to make sure we have all the right pieces.

Well, it’s a little late in the game as far as we’re concerned. We’re still learning how to sew.
The last thing that we need is a sewing machine in our home. We have a Brother sewing machine, and in fact if we wanted a new machine, we would need to buy one. We could probably find one here in the US for around forty dollars.
