That’s exactly what happened to the Visionaries in Deathloop’s teaser trailer. What was once an island of fun turned into an island of death for the party-lovers who’d been locked into that one day.
The problem with this, of course, is that we do know better, and that the Visionaries have been the bane of our existence for a while now. The fact that they appear to be doing so again is another one of those things that makes the whole thing look a lot scarier.
I’m not sure I would call this a plot twist, but I think it’s one of the more awesome ones I’ve seen in a trailer. The visionaries are apparently the ones who took over the island, but now they’re actually locked up in a prison cell, chained to the island in the middle of the ocean. The only way they can get out is through the use of a magic spell, and they have the means to do so.
Deathloop is looking more and more like a game that has a story underneath all the cool powers you use, and the fact that this story is so dark actually makes it that much more awesome. What makes it even more awesome is that it looks like it’s going to be a lot more intense and difficult than you think.
Well, we can’t say for sure, but the only way I can think of to beat Deathloop is by being a dick to it. So if you don’t want to be a dick, please don’t play.

Deathloop is a game about a man trying to beat out a bunch of people who have been fighting each other in a time loop for the last few days. It’s really very intense, and there are a lot of different paths you can take to get there. The first time I played it, I was able to beat it with very little help. After that, I took a break from the game for a few weeks.
