By I am a sonnet writer, and I am about to take a trip I had been planning for awhile. I am looking for a road trip that will take me through the southern United States. I’ve been looking at the different states and cities and thinking about how to choose which one I would like to visit. I have been thinking about how certain states have their own unique history. I am going to start with New Orleans.
New Orleans is the capital of Louisiana, and is located on the Gulf of Mexico. The first people to settle here in the early 18th century are said to have been French Creoles who migrated from the Caribbean island of Martinique. New Orleans is also the only city to have been an independent city since the Louisiana Purchase. The city was named after the French word for “beautiful,” which is a nod to the city’s beautiful architecture and history.
It is also, as the city was once called, “the city of the dead.” In fact, in the 18th century, there was a belief that New Orleans was haunted. In addition to being believed to be haunted, this belief was based on the stories of a witch and her children who left their home in the middle of the night and left the town in a state of panic.
After the city was founded, the French settlers gave it the name of the city of the dead in honor of the mysterious people who have haunted the town of the dead. The city was also called the city of the dead because it was known to be a place where the dead were still being buried. That is because the city was considered to be haunted by the ghosts of its former residents. The ghost of a woman was seen wandering through the city in a coffin.
