And just like anyone else, they make decisions based on personal bias and prejudices about how humans should treat animals.
It seems like every time I drive into a city, I see a small army of vets out in the road, with their guns pointed at some poor excuse of a dying animal. That is not their job. This is not the job of a vet. I don’t care what it takes. I don’t care what it’s going to take. We need to stop this and give vets the time and resources they need to save animals. We need to recognize how much this hurts our society.
I could go on and on about these and other prejudices and biases. The sad fact is that people with these prejudices are also the ones we are constantly being told to treat like equals, but they aren’t. They are the ones who keep us from treating others as human beings.
