By vivid imagery helps you see the world clearly. The following are a few examples of vivid imagery I use in my writing.
Visually, the best images are often those that help us read more quickly, since they are more memorable. When I’m writing, I tend to focus on the visual, and I try to be as descriptive as possible to help the reader be more alert and receptive.

I find this last point is another of the subtle benefits of using vivid imagery. The last part of the sentence is all about the color of the flowers being attracted to the guards, not how the two people are dressed.

The two people holding up the flowers are the Visionaries. They are wearing white robes. They are also wearing white gloves. The guards are wearing black robes. The flowers are white.
This visual is a great example of how much visual information is available to us. It may be all that’s needed to remind us that something is happening, but it’s not enough. It’s not always enough to merely have a visual reminder. It’s also important to use the visual to help the reader focus on what is happening.
