By I have watched a lot of horror movies and this is one of the first movie that I really remember. It was pretty good, I must say.
I’m actually surprised this movie wasn’t more popular. In fact, it is one of the most well-known ‘horror’ movies of all time. It was released in 1966 and starred William Shatner and Anne Francis.
When the movie was released, Shatner was a huge star as Captain James T. Kirk and Anne Francis, as Mina Murray. They were a pretty young pair and both were in their early thirties at the time Shatner decided to star in the movie.
Shatner died in 2005. Francis died in 2016, leaving the role of Mina Murray to actress Olivia Wilde, also in her early thirties.
So I guess we can all probably agree that the most stereotypical horror movie character ever is the character who wears a costume that makes you think of a character in a classic horror movie from the 1960s. I am totally down with that.
